Reading Section
In the reading section, you will be asked to answer 35 questions to demonstrate your ability to understand academic and non-academic texts in English. There are three different types of tasks.

Before You Begin
- checkComplete the Words: use the grammar of the sentence and the letters shown to narrow the word. There is no penalty for guessing, so never leave a blank.
- checkRead in Daily Life: read the question first, then scan the notice, email, or message for the one detail it asks about.
- checkAcademic Passage: skim for the main idea of each paragraph, then go back to the exact sentence a question points to before answering.
- checkEach module has its own clock, and you can't return to Module 1 once Module 2 starts. Skip a hard item, then use the Review screen to go back to it before you finish the module.
